Jane Helppi

She has spent years working as a handler in sled dog races across the Nordic countries, supporting her partner, Matti Salmi. With solid experience in dog care, race logistics, and team assistance, she plays an important role in ensuring the dogs and musher are well-prepared for the challenges of competition.


Joni Hirsimäki

He is an adventurer who roams the northern fells year-round with his Samoyed dogs. Whether hiking in summer or mushing/skiing through snowy landscapes in winter, he finds freedom and connection in the wilderness, sharing unforgettable moments with his loyal companions.



Håvard Okstad

A Siberian Husky enthusiast and musher who made history in this year’s Femundløpet, held in Røros, by winning the World Championship with his purebred team in the limited class, competing against 89 contestants.


Jose Luis Pedrero Bautista

A veterinarian specialized in working dogs and competitive sled dog sports. In addition to his extensive experience as a race veterinarian, including performing veterinary checks for top mushers like Petter Karlsson, he has also competed himself in renowned events such as the Pirena sled dog race. His combined perspective as both a competitor and a veterinarian gives him a unique insight into the demands of canine performance and care in sled dog sports.


Jeff King

A four-time Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race champion and the winner of the Yukon Quest,he has not only conquered some of the toughest terrains on Earth, he’s revolutionized the sport itself. Known for his innovative approach and deep bond with his dogs, he is more than just a musher; he’s a pioneer, a storyteller, and an inspiration.

With over 40 years of experience mushing through the Alaskan wilderness and a legacy built on grit, vision, and passion, he brings a unique perspective on endurance, leadership, and the power of trust between man and animal.


Stefan, Ilse & Zohra Donker
– Team Tartok Speed

They are Stefan, Ilse, and Zohra Donker, the family behind Team Tartok Speed. Since 2008, they’ve been competing in sled dog sports, aiming for top results in national and international snow championships.

With roots in dog-loving and early starts in the sport, they’ve grown into one of Europe’s leading sprint teams, despite limited training conditions in the Netherlands. Their success comes from dedication, teamwork, and passion for the sport and their dogs.

In their presentation, they share how they train, overcome setbacks, and prepare for the coming season. They’re happy to answer questions through their socials and hope to see you there!
